Hey luvs, we are Mahe and Raahema. We are two cousins who, despite the geographic distance that divides us, share the same love for fashion. Between living in the Garden state, NJ and the Keystone state, PA, we come across many different people with many unique styles. We are Pakistani-Americans and while we straddle two very different cultures, we find a good balance between the two. Our sense of style is influenced by our religious background as well as our culture. We will fill you in on all the things we are loving this season.xoxo.

Summer Must Haves!

Hey Luvs, it's mahe here! Today's post is going to be all about summer must haves! These are just a few summer essentials that I love and can not live without!

Sunglasses! it is super important that we protect our eyes from the sun! No one wants to get wrinkles around their eyes!

Fedora! This is another cute safety measure to protect our face from the sun.
Sunscreen! Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch sunblock is my favorite sunscreen! I recommend this to everyone!

Sea Salt Spray! I love using a sea salt spray because it gives your hair cute beachy waves (without actually going to the beach)! I hate using heat in my hair, so this is a good alternative.
P.S. You can make your own sea salt spray with water and sea salt!

Sun Protecting Lip Balm! It's all about protecting your lips because no one like dry cracked sunburned lips!
Bright Colored Nail Polish!!!
Finally, add some color to those nails to get into the summer vibes!!

PROM! 2014

Hey Luvs, it's been a WHILE!

So, recently I had my junior prom and it was so much FUN! My junior prom was on a cruise around the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Traditionally, in my school the girls wear shorter dresses for junior prom and longer dresses for senior prom. I had to get my dress the weekend before prom because the one i ordered online was not going to make it in time for my prom! I was freaking out as you could imagine because I fell in love with the dress I found online. Butnontheless my mom and I went to the mall on a mission! After spending countless hours in the mall I finally bought a Jessica Simpson dress from Nordstroms! It is a simple navy blue dress with ruffles down the back and an eye lit pattern at the hem of each ruffle and the dress itself. Because my dress was pretty plain I decided to pair a blinged out necklace from Forever21. My rings were also from Forever21 and the studs I wore were from my moms jewelry box. The shoes that I wore were suede strappy pumps with gunmetal studs, I absolutely loved them and surprisingly they are comfortable to walk in! As for my corsage it was light blue with cream carnation flowers and a blue ribbon! Side note: I am blogging about my prom 2 weeks after and my corsage is still alive! As for my hair I french braided my hair back on both sides and curled it. I hope you guys enjoy these prom pictures! Thanks for reading! xo, mahe

Double OOTD!!

Hey Luvs, its Mahe here with another OOTD post, this time with Raahema!! So lets start with Raahema's outfit, she is wearing a blue lace peplum top which I believe is from Forever21 and with that she put on a maroon, navy blue, and cream  cropped striped sweater on top. The peplum top underneath added a bit of a girly touch and is a perfect way to wear a crop top in the winter. Lastly she is wearing light wash skinny jeans from Hollister which make the look a bit more casual. We didn't go anywhere which is why we both don't have shoes on!
As for my outfit I decided to wear a cream sweater with a glitzy snowflake on it! I absolutely love this sweater, it is super cozy and very girly. You can not tell from the picture but the snowflake is sparkly with a lot of sequence. I paired my sweater wit super dark wash skinny jeans from Hollister and wore my American Eagle taupe shimmery socks!
Our outfits we chose to wear are so easy to put together and took absolutely no effort, but they are still stylish!!
I hope you guys enjoyed this quick post!!

Spring in the Winter?!? OOTD!

Hey luvs, it's mahe here with an outfit of the day post!! Here in New Jersey the weather has been fluctuating a lot! One day it will be freezing and snowing and the next day the weather is nice and pleasant. So today my outfit was geared more towards the spring time. My floral sleeveless top is from Charlotte Russe, my cardigan is from New York and Company, and lastly my corduroy pants are from Macy's. As for my shoes I just wore simple black combat boots from Target. This is a very simple outfit   but at the same time it is fashion forward. I hope you guys enjoyed this quick post!!

Double Cartilage Piercing!

Hey luvs its Mahe here! So I recently turned 17, which is really exciting!!! I can't believe I'm getting so old!! I had such an amazing birthday with my friends and family and I couldn't be more grateful! Anyway, one of my presents that my parents gifted me with was having permission to get another ear piercing (or 2 lol)! So here is how my experience went:
So I got it done at Claire's, for about $60. Claire's does have free ear piecing but not for your cartilage, it is a $3 extra charge. I recommend that you buy white gold earrings because your cartilage can affected really easily. Don't be afraid to ask the lady (or guy) if they have done a cartilage pricing before. The lady (Amanda was her name) marked my ears with a marker to see if I liked where the piercings were going to go. I did like where the top piercing was going to go, but I wasn't fond of the placing of the bottom piercing, I wanted it to go above the top piercing. Amanda told me that the reason why I shouldn't get it pierced that high is because the backing of the earring would show. Once she pierced the top piercing and showed me I loved it and decided to keep the second piercing underneath the first one as she marked it. Ughh I'm rambling way to much!!!
As for the pain it did NOT HURT AT All!! I wouldn't even say I have a low pain tolerance and it didn't hurt. I was shocked!! My ear did get sore and is still a little sore but it was totally worth it!! A lot of my friends said that they couldn't sleep on it for a couple weeks (and they only got 1 cartilage piercing) but I was fine sleeping on mine for the first night. I have to keep the cartilage piercing in for 8-12 weeks and then I can put another earring in but I always need to keep an earring in for 1 year. I also have to clean 3 times a day.
I am so happy for the results and I'm already planning my next couple piercings I want to get!!!! Tell me what you all think of my piercings in the comments below!! Tell me if you have any cool piercings!
Xoxo,
Mahe
