Hey luvs, we are Mahe and Raahema. We are two cousins who, despite the geographic distance that divides us, share the same love for fashion. Between living in the Garden state, NJ and the Keystone state, PA, we come across many different people with many unique styles. We are Pakistani-Americans and while we straddle two very different cultures, we find a good balance between the two. Our sense of style is influenced by our religious background as well as our culture. We will fill you in on all the things we are loving this season.xoxo.

Double Cartilage Piercing!

Hey luvs its Mahe here! So I recently turned 17, which is really exciting!!! I can't believe I'm getting so old!! I had such an amazing birthday with my friends and family and I couldn't be more grateful! Anyway, one of my presents that my parents gifted me with was having permission to get another ear piercing (or 2 lol)! So here is how my experience went:
So I got it done at Claire's, for about $60. Claire's does have free ear piecing but not for your cartilage, it is a $3 extra charge. I recommend that you buy white gold earrings because your cartilage can affected really easily. Don't be afraid to ask the lady (or guy) if they have done a cartilage pricing before. The lady (Amanda was her name) marked my ears with a marker to see if I liked where the piercings were going to go. I did like where the top piercing was going to go, but I wasn't fond of the placing of the bottom piercing, I wanted it to go above the top piercing. Amanda told me that the reason why I shouldn't get it pierced that high is because the backing of the earring would show. Once she pierced the top piercing and showed me I loved it and decided to keep the second piercing underneath the first one as she marked it. Ughh I'm rambling way to much!!!
As for the pain it did NOT HURT AT All!! I wouldn't even say I have a low pain tolerance and it didn't hurt. I was shocked!! My ear did get sore and is still a little sore but it was totally worth it!! A lot of my friends said that they couldn't sleep on it for a couple weeks (and they only got 1 cartilage piercing) but I was fine sleeping on mine for the first night. I have to keep the cartilage piercing in for 8-12 weeks and then I can put another earring in but I always need to keep an earring in for 1 year. I also have to clean 3 times a day.
I am so happy for the results and I'm already planning my next couple piercings I want to get!!!! Tell me what you all think of my piercings in the comments below!! Tell me if you have any cool piercings!

Review!! Garnier BB Cream

Hey Luvs, it's Mahe here!! I know I know I haven't been bloggin' lately, but I am determined now to keep up with frequent posts! Todays post is a review on a new BB Cream I have been trying out. I have been using the Garnier Skin Renew BB cream in the shade medium/deep. All I can say is I LOVE IT!! I thought that the Maybelline BB Cream was my all time favorite but I was wrong! I have been loving the Garnier one! The Garnier BB Cream also doubles up as a sunscreen. It has a pretty thick consistency but when you apply it to your face it is pretty runny. A little goes a long way!

As far as the coverage is concerned it evens out my skin tone and has light to medium coverage. When wearing this BB cream I do recommend using a setting powder because it does make my face look shiny. The reason why I love this one more than the Maybelline one is because the Garnier one does not make me look orange and it has better coverage in my opinion!!
Overall I am in love with this BB cream!! This is the perfect foundation alternative for the summer because it has the perfect amount of coverage, it doubles as a sunscreen and it is moisturizing!
I would definitely recommend this product, it is a must have!!!

Miranda Kerr: Look For Less!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here with a "Look For Less!" Today I am going to be recreating supermodel Miranda Kerr's everyday style! Enjoy!

Miranda Kerr Look For Less

Miranda Kerr has an amazing style and was recently seen wearing a casual outfit while out with her son Flinn. Now, although Miranda's outfit is probably extremely expensive, you can easily get this look for a lot less! The first item I found was this light gray tank top from Forever21. This tank is very similar to Miranda's and retails for only $7.80. I paired the tank with a leopard print skirt, also from Forever21. This skirt is almost identical to Miranda's and is only $19.80. For shoes, I added a pair of black combat boots, $42.50, from Charlotte Russe. As for accessories, Miranda kept it pretty simple with just a tan fedora and some black sunglasses. I found this very similar fedora from Forever21 for just $10.90.

I hope you enjoyed my "Look for Less!" Leave any post suggestions in the comments below!

What's In My Beach/Pool bag???!!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here showing you what's in my beach bag! Now, living in Pennsylvania, I don't hve any beaches very closeby, but this is what I would take to the beah when I'm visiting Mahe in New Jersey or when I'm at the pool!

Item 1: Beach Bag!! Duh!
My beach/pool bag is this pink sequined one from Victoria's Secret. I got it during a Black Friday special but I think you can find it online!

Item 2: Bathing Suit!

A cute swimsuit is deinitely a must-have for going to the beach or pool! With a huge variety of styles, colors, and patterns, how can anyone resist?

Item 3: Sunscreen
I always make sure to keep a good suncreen in my beach bag like this Neutrogena one with spf 70.

Item 4: Towels
Towels are a neccessity for when I get out of the water or if im lying in the sun!

Item 5: Lip Balm!

I always keep a good lip balm and moisturizer in my beach bag. Recently, I've been using babylips.

Item 6: Moisturizer
Having a good moisturizer is an absolute neccesity for me when I'm at the beach or pool.

Item 7: Sunglasses!!
The last and most important thing that I carry with me to the beach or pool is a pair of sunglassess!

I hope you enjoyed my "What's In My Beach/Pool Bag" post! Tell me what you take to the beach or pool in the comments below!

My Skincare/Foundation Routine!!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here and today I am posting my skincare/foundation routine! Now, keep in mind, I don't wear foundation everyday, but this is my routine for when I do! Enjoy!

Step 1: Cleanse
So, the first thing I do after brushing my teeth in the morning is cleanse my face with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. This is a gentle cleanser that is good for all skin types which is perfect for my combination skin.

Step 2: Moisturize
The second part of my skincare routine is to moisturize my skin. Recently, I have been using the Vaseline lotions, specifically the "total moisture" one.

Step 3: Foundation
The foundation that I've recently come across is the "Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation." To apply this makeup, I usually use my fingers to gently rub it into my skin.

Step 4: Powder
Because the Covergirl foundation is 3-in-1 (primer, foundation, concealer), I usually skip concealer and go straight to the powder. To set my foundation, I have been using the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. To apply this I just use an Elf face brush, and evenly distribute the powder over my face.

That is my entire skincare and foundation routine! To remove my makeup a night I use the Almay eye makeup remover and the Cetaphil cleanser I mentioned above. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and leave any questions or comments down below!

Review: Rimmel Stay Matte Powder!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here with a review on one of my recent makeup purchases, Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder. Enjoy!
                           PROS:                                               CONS:
  • Cost- $3.97                                             - difficult to open
  • Matte but not too powdery                       - not the best for dry skin
  • Long-wear
Well, I hope you enjoyed my review! Overall, I would definitely recommend this product for oily or combination skin. However, I might not use it on very dry skin.

Nails of the Day!

Hey Luvs, it's Mahe here with a post showing you all my nails! I just painted them so I thought I would show you them!! So I used three colors and I have yet to put a top coat on!! For the main color I used a baby pink polish that is the one in the middle. It is pretty shear so I used about two coats. On top of that I used  a Jessica polish that is shear as well, this gave my nails a pearly look which I really like! Lastly on my ring finger I put a glitter diagonal accent, using Essie's a cut above!! Do you have any cool nail designs that you have worn? Send me a picture and I may Instagram it, giving you a shout out!! @maaheyk

Fashion in Another World: OOTD!

Hey luvs it's Mahe here with an outfit of the day post. It's not just any outfit it is one of my Pakistani outfit. The shalwaar kameez I chose to wear today isn't considered to be super dressy or casual. My bought this for me from Pakistan a few years ago and I'm in love with it! The kameez (shirt) is pink with gold and silver metallic work with pink beads. It may be hard to tell but the shirt gradually gets darker. I chose to wear white chouridar as the shalwar (pants), which are skinny pants and silver sandals to top of the look! I hope you enjoyed my Pakistani outfit of the day I haven't done one in forever! In the comments below request some post ideas that you would like to see!

OOTD! Sweet 16 Edition

Hey luvs, it's Mahe here with an outfit of the day! Tonight I went to a sweet 16 so I thought I would share with you what I wore. The dress I wore is a cream chiffon high low dress. It came with a gold belt and it had gold straps. The dress is from a store called Joyce Leslie that I believe is only in New Jersey. It is a typical Jersey store!! I paired two cream and gold flower rings together from Charlotte Russe and my multi colored sandals are from Pakistan!

Nail Polish Organization Tip!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here with a nail polish organization tip! So, if you're anything like me, then you probably have your nail polish collection awkwardly stored in some drawer or cupboard. Don't worry though, because recently I came across an amazing way to store all of your nail polishes. A spice rack! Wall mountable spice racks are great ways to store all of your nail polishes neatly and efficiently.
This is a spice rack that I found at Walmart for only $15! It is also wall-mountable and super cute!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Leave comments of what other types of posts you would like to see from Mahe and I, and go check out our YouTube channel- cousinscouture xo

Refreshing Strawberry Drink!

Hey Luvs, it's Mahe here with a recipe. I usually put up fashion/beauty related posts, but I just had to share a drink recipe with all of you. So I made this drink up on the spot because I was in the mood to drink something refreshing! I'm not a good cook by any means, but I have literally been obsessed with it!! Enjoy :)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of frozen strawberries
                                             or
1 1/2 cups of  unfrozen strawberries and
1/2 cup of ice
1 can of Sprite, Ginger Ale or any other cleat soda
  1 tspn sugar

 Procedure:
In a blender pour in the soda and add the strawberries, then blend, add the sugar.
If you didn't.use frozen strawberries then blend the ice in.

***this is optional...if you want to step it up a notch you can get a fancy glass and on the rim up can put some of the strawberry drink on it and dip the class in sugar.
Definitely try out this drink it is really yummy!! Tell me what you all think in the comments below!

DIY! Face scrub!

Hey luvs it's Mahe here with a DIY face scrub post! This is so simple and easy to do; and it works wonders! All you need is half a lemon and some sugar. You can cut the half lemon into little wedges if you want, ur is totally up to you! You just take the lemon , dip it in sugar and scrub it all over your face! This acts as an exfoliator for your face and the lemon helps brighten up your complexion! I recommend doing this before you go to bed every other night! It honestly works amazing and it feels very refreshing to the face! Definitely try this easy face trick and let me know how works for you!!

Room Decor!!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here with a post with some room decor and design tips! So, my family's in the process of buying a new house and I thought that this would be the perfect time to start thinking about what I wanted to do in my new room. So my new room will probably be pretty small- about a 13x13, but I am still determined to make it look amazing!

Tip #1: Focal point wall

In my opinion, every bedroom should have a focal point wall. This should probably be the wall with your bed on it and it should really stand out compared to the rest of your room.

Example:

For my new bedroom, my focal wall will be painted in pink and gray stripes with very thin white stripes in between. This will be the wall that I will have my bed and nightstands on, and also the wall that I will have my huge pink canopy on.

Tip #2: Clean and Simple

Now although your focal point wall should really pop in your room, you don't want to have every wall as busy. If every wall in your room is filled with stripes and furniture, you'll end up with a cluttered, unpeaceful feel to your room.

Example:

The other walls in my room will not be painted in stripes, and they also won't be as busy. The wall opposite my bed will be painted a light gray color to match the gray in the stripes. That gray will continue on to the side wall with my closet on it. The other side wall opposite the closet will be painted pink.

Tip #3: Decorate!

Your room should be a fun and peaceful place for you to relax and enjoy. To add some fun to your room, incorporate some art to hang on the walls.

Example:

Remember the pink side wall I told you about? Well on that wall I am going to put a six-drawer chest of drawers. That chest of drawers will be the only peice of furniture on that wall, but to keep the wall from looking bare, I am putting a big black and white canvas photograph directly above the chest of drawers. The one big peice of art will look classy and clean and definitley add some decoration to my room.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this room decor post! What kinds of tips and tricks do you have for decorating your bedroom? Leave your response in the comments below!

Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

I am in love with this gorgeous palette by
Urban Decay! Although a little pricey ($50),
the colors and quality are worth the money!

Lip Product: BabyLips

This beautiful red lip balm is both
pretty and moisturizing. I have been
loving it during April!

Face Product: BB Cream

I have been using the Maybelline BB cream
daily during April! It is light and fluffy,
while still giving you coverage!

Nail Polish: Essie's Trophy Wife

This shimmery nail polish has definitely been
one of my favorites during the month of April!

TV show: The Carrie Diaries

This prequel to Sex and the City is full of fashion
and scandal! Set in the Big Apple, The Carrie Diaries
has been a huge favorite of mine!

Review: Victoria's Secret Blush!

Hey Luvs! It's Raahema here with a review on a blush that I recently purchased from Victoria's Secrect. Enjoy!

                                   PROS                                   CONS
                               - cute packaging                   - no brush
                               - gorgeous color                   - $9
                               - good quality

Overall, I really like this blush. It retails for about $9, which I find a little expensive but oh well. I also love the adorable heart pattern that the product comes in! I usually wear this blush to school as part of my everyday makeup routine. Although it looks bright, the blush is very wearable and much lighter on. However, it is also very buildable and great for both neutral and bright looks.

So, what do you think of this blush? Leave your response in the comments below!

SPRING NAILS!!

Hello luvs, today I am going to show you guys an easy way to make your nails stand out! You don't need any special nail kits or tools for this, you just need two different color nail polishes. Just paint nails one color; as seen in the picture I used a light turquoise blue color. Wait for them to dry and then with the other color paint half of your ring finger either horizontally, vertically or diagonal like I did. Then on the other remaining nails paint a half moon by your cuticle. I used a gorgeous silver metallic color to bring the blue color. And there you have it nails that pop. Its really simple and I hope you guys try this at home! Send me pics!
