Hey luvs, we are Mahe and Raahema. We are two cousins who, despite the geographic distance that divides us, share the same love for fashion. Between living in the Garden state, NJ and the Keystone state, PA, we come across many different people with many unique styles. We are Pakistani-Americans and while we straddle two very different cultures, we find a good balance between the two. Our sense of style is influenced by our religious background as well as our culture. We will fill you in on all the things we are loving this season.xoxo.

Review: Stila Lip Glazes

Hey luvs it's Mahe here and today's post will be review about my favorite lip glosses ever! They are the Stila Lip Glazes, that can be purchased at Sephora. One Lip Glaze is about $22, but usually this lip product comes in either sets of three or eight. I got the pack of 8 during Black Friday (AKA the biggest shopping day of the year!!!) for only $24!!! Here are some of my FAV'S:

I love the texture of these lip glosses. They are very pigmented and come in a variety of colors.  I love the applicator of these glosses because it has a brush on the top which makes for no mess and easy application!

Some of my favorites are Dreamy, which is the perfect nude, Grapefruit, a nice bubble gum pink and Fantasy, a hot coral pink!

I definitely recommend these lip glazes. They are AMAZING!! Tell me in the comments below if you have ever tried these, and tell me how they work for you!

Fashion in Another World: KHUSSAS!!

Hey Luvs, it's Mahe and Raahema here with another Fashion in Another World! Today we will be talking about a popular shoe worn in Pakistan. The “khussa” is basically the Pakistani version of a ballet flat! Khussas come in a variety of colors and intricate designs that can be worn casually when going shopping or formally at a wedding. Down below we have a few pictures of different Khussas from casual to formal.

So, what do you all think of the traditional Pakistani shoe? Would you wear them? Let us know the comments below!

Products I Regret Buying!

Hey Luvs, today I will be sharing a few products that I am not very fond of! These products did no justice for me, and are things I will not purchase again.

The first product I regret buying would be my Aussie heat protectant/shine spray. The reason is when I spray it onto my hair it gets frizzy and hard. Also, the heat protectant smells really weird and not fresh at all.
           about $4
Victoria Bombshell body mist is another item I would not repurchase. I actually didn't buy it, it came in a  little gift package that they were giving out in November. To me this body mist is way to strong and smells like cologne. This item is way to manly smelling for me!
smallest size $10
My lip bomb trio from sephora is also something I do not recommend buying. The reason being is that the lip balms are not moisturizing at all. These make my lips very dry especially the pink and clear one. The pink lip balm is very chunky when you apply it onto your lips, and very rough when you rub your lips together. The red one has a very nice pigment but like the others it is very drying.

$10
Lastly, the Forever21 nail polish in nude is also not one of my favorites. This nail polish easily chips. Though, the color is very nice the quality isn't so great.

about $3

In the comments below be sure to tell me what you do not recommend to buy! Also tell me how these products, I mentioned above work for you!

Spotlight Shoe!!

Hey luvs, it's Mahe and Raahema here with our second "Spotlight Shoe!" This edition of the "Spotlight Shoe" will be on our dream shoes. These shoes may not be very affordable, but they're definitely shoes that we would luv to own!

                                           Raahema's Shoe:

My dream shoe is a slingback peep-toe from the online store Shoemint. It is part of Rachel Bilson's "Go to Shoes" collection, and is $79.98. In my opinion, this shoe is very versatile and can be worn with many different colors and prints. The beautiful watercolor pattern adds a feminine pop to any neutral colored outfit. However, the colors are subdued enough to be worn with a bright colored dress, or a bold, patterned jumpsuit. I think that this shoe would be a unique, and fashionable addition to any girl's wardrobe!

                                                 Mahe's Shoe:

My dream shoe is the Angelfish slip on boat shoe with the slight hint of cheetah print! This shoe is so cute and versatile for this season! Some of you may already know about the brand Sperry. This brand is known for there so called "boat shoes!" Sperry's are very comfortable and fashionable. During the day, I would pair these shoes with some crisp white skinny jeans and a beige button down shirt, with a skinny cheetah print belt to tie in the whole look together. For night, put on some dark wash skinny jeans, a black clutch, and a big black chunky necklace! I have been eyeing these shoes this past month, but with the "low" price of only $80, who knows when this dream will come true!!!

So what do you guys think of our DREAM SHOES? In the comments below, tell us what shoes you have been eyeing this month!

OOTD: Featuring My Friends Gabby!

Hey Luvs, it's Mahe here with my 2nd outfit of the day! This time I invited my friend Gabby to show you her outfit as well. Today, we had our chorus concert which was just magical! We had a dress code that we had to follow, black plants and a white shirt. But, I thought this would be a great oppurtunity to have a special guest on my post for this week. ENJOY!

Gabby's Outfit!
My friend Gabby is wearing a beautiful whit flowy top from Macy's. She paired her shirt with black skinny pants from Pacsun and a pair of braided black sandals from Target! She also wore this black bracelet with silver studs that her Aunt got for her. The brand of the bracelet is Shamballa bracelet which you can find online, if you are interested in getting it! As for Gabby's hair she put pretty waves in with a 1inch curling iron without using the clamp. Gabby's toenails and finger nails were painted with Sally Hanson's Celeb City and Forever21's silver.

Mahe's Outfit!
For our concert I wore a white flowy semi-sheer top, from TJMaxx. I paired my shirt with black skinny pants aswell, which were borrowed from my mom closet! As for shoes I wore my black sequence flats from Target. On my nails I wore a random white color with a silver secuence accent nail!  As for my hair I just strightened it with my Conair straightener.

I hope you all enjoyed this outfit of the day with my friend Gabby! Comment below on what you think about our outfits, and if you would like to see gabby in more posts!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Hey Luvs, it’s Mahe and Raahema here to just say Happy Mother’s Day to our moms!

My mother is always there
when I'm in trouble or despair
her laughter and her smiles
can be heard and seen for miles
she always knows just what to say
from late at night until the day
when I'm with her I always learn
when I'm not it's her I yearn
in the end I have one thing to say
I wish you a happy Mother's Day!
Luv,
Raahema

M is for the millions of hugs I get each day.
O is for the opportunities that you always support.
T is for teaching me how to read the Quran.
H is for helping me when I'm in desperate need.
E is for every little memory that we make together.
R is for the RONAK you bring to our household.
Love,
Mahe

*RONAK mean life of the party
*QURAN is the Holy book of Islam

We hope all moms have a great day! Tell us what you did for Mother's Day in the comments below!

REVIEW: Maybeline Expert Wear Eyeshadow!

Hey Luvs, it's Mahe here with a review on my current eyeshadow obsession! Lately, I have been loving my Expert Wear Eyeshadow in Bronze Haze by Maybeline. The colors in the trio are super versatile to take your eye look from day to night. I feel like the colors in the palette will look great on every skin color! This product is super inexpensive if you are on a budget.

MAYBELINE EXPERT WEAR EYESHADOW
$5.50

This palette is really great, because on the back, they give you step by step instructions on wear you would typically place each shadow. What I usually do is put the lightest color, which is the shimmery champagne color, on the inner corner of my eyes and up by the brow bone. Next, I would put the gorgeous copper color over the lid and the dark brown in the crease on the outer corner of my eye! For going out I just add more of the dark brown color in the outer corner of my eye to give it a smoked out affect. This palette can be easily accessed at any Target, CVS, and Rite Aid. If you do not live in the U.S you can get it online.

Tell me in the comments below if you also really like the Expert Wear eyeshadow collection by Maybeline! I hope you enjoyed reading this post on a product that I really have been loving!

Health and Fitness

Hey luvs! It's Raahema here with some helpful tips on staying fit. This is obviously non beauty related but something I really love to do. Today's post will focus on exercising at home, and going to the gym.

Going to the Gym:

When exercising at the gym, you should remember these few tips.

1.) Set goals. Whether you're biking, running, or lifting weights, you should always set goals for yourself. You should also increase your amount of exercises little by little, as you visit the gym. For example, if you're running, set a goal of maybe 1 mile. Then, the next time you go, increase your distance by 1/2 a mile. If you keep doing this at your own pace, then you will definitely get stronger and fitter.

2.) Alternate machines. When going to the gym, it is always important to get a full body workout. Focusing on one area of your body is good for a competition requiring that skill, but won't make you fit all around. When you get to the gym start off with one machine. Exercises on that machine for a certain amount of time or distance, and then switch. That way you will get a full body workout that Will leave you feeling healthy and strong!

Exercising at Home:

1.) Be consistent. When exercising at home you should always be consistent. You should do exercises everyday and slowly increase your amount, like you do at the gym. If you exercises a lot one day and then not exercises at all the next day, then you won't get a good workout.

2.) Alternate exercises. Like I said above, you should always alternate exercises to get a full body workout.

So, I hope you all liked my fitness guide. I will be posting a healthy eating guide very soon! Thank you so much for reading. Tell me what you do at the gym in the comments below.

Tikas!!!

Hey luvs! Its Mahe and Raahema here with our second “Fashion in another world.” Today we will be discussing a popular jewelry item worn in Pakistan. The traditional head ornament is called a Tika. The tika is worn on the forehead, pinned up with a bobby pin. The jewelry piece is usually worn on fancy occasions such as weddings and/or an Ameen.
This tika would be worn on someone
who would be attending the wedding. It is still
very detailed but the colors make it more appropriate to wear as a guest.

The Tika shown above is
traditionally what brides would wear.   It is more detailed, intricate  and very heavy.
Lastly, this tika that was worn on Mahe's Ameen is more subtle than the others.
The colors are very vibrant but it is not as big as the others

Those are some pictures of people wearing the traditional, Pakistani tikas. What do you guys think of tikas? Would you wear them? Leave your response in the comments below!

How to Style: Leggings!

Hey Luvs it's Mahe here with a fun fashion blog post! Today I am going to show you a basic article of clothing that is essential in every girls wardrobe.

Today I am going to show you 3 different ways I wear leggings! This is my own unique and personal taste! Hope you all enjoy!

Outfit # 1 Lets Go Shopping!
In this first outfit I am wearing a graphic tee from New York and Company, some flip flops and a cute wristlet. I would wear this outfit to the Mall or to lunch with some friends.

I added a cuff bracelet that my mom gave me and a bright yellow wrap bracelet from forever21. My wristlet is from Coach, and my flip flops are from Target.

Outfit #2 School Time!
My next outfit is something I would wear to school. The outfit is very comfy and cute. I don't have a close up of my bag, but it is just a grey cross body bag that I use for school.

In this outfit I am wearing a pink ruffled cardigan from Charlotte Russe, light pink Converse, and a black with silver sequin tank top from TJMaxx. As for jewelry, I am wearing a pink Relic Watch and a dainty, flower ring!

 Outfit #3 Girls Night Out
This last outfit is my party outfit, with the same black leggings. I paired these leggings with a stripe blouse from TJMaxx. For jewelry, I wore a grey studded cuff from JCPenny, a black studded clutch from RaveGirl, and a silver flower necklace. For shoes, I wore black sequined flats from Target.

Tell me what you guys thought of my outfits in the comments below. Also, tell me what you guys would wear with leggings in the comments below as well. Hope you all have a fabulous day
